Seymenli

The village was founded by three families in (1456) after Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan conquered Istanbul. These families are Hacilar, Wrestlers, and Chorbacilar. The Hacilar family was called Hacilar because they came from Damascus. The name of the village remained from the stay of Seymen soldiers in the village. It was called Sekbanlı before, and after the proclamation of the Republic, it was changed to Seymenli.

It is 14 km from Süleymanpaşa.

The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry.

There is a primary school in the village, but since it was closed, bussed education is used. The village has drinking water and sewerage network. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is a health center and a health home. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and telephone in the village.

The population of 2019 is 164 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
